This year marked the 58th Purim Ball for the Shaw Jewish Community Center, where the seven Queen Esthers were presented Saturday evening.

Michelle Mostow served as the chair for the gala, which included a sit-down dinner for the 200 guests as well as the program.

“This is such a beautiful event and to see Rebecca with her dad is really meaningful,” Robin Cutler said.

David Cutler added, “I’m looking forward to doing this with my other daughters in the coming years.”

Sisters Caroline and Natalie and Rebecca’s brother Ben Cutler also attended to support their sister.

Sandy Moses, Al Moses and Lisa Spector worked on the choreography.

Ellie Minkin and Jody Schweiger served as hospitality co-chairs.

This year’s gala had identical twin sisters Hannah and Emma Hershfield participating.

“This is great since my sister are I are going to different colleges next year, so this is a good time for us to bond,” Hannah said.

Rita Weinberg’s daughter Emma Young was born with Down syndrome.

“Emma is a typical child in more ways than she is different,” Weinberg said. “It’s a wonderful passage for her and it makes me proud that she is here with the girls that she has known in school over the years.”

Dana Garcia said the event brings back memories of when she was a participant.

“It’s so emotional and so exciting to see her carry on the tradition,” Garcia said.
