Arrests
An East Brookside Avenue man, 20, was charged with burglary. Police said the man forced his way into a home and took items.
A Crescent Drive man, 21, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Police said the man attempted to enter Play House D’ Amour Gentlemen’s Club without being searched. He became combative with security and was put out. He attempted to grab for a handgun from his waistband but was unsuccessful.
A Glenn Street man, 22, was charged with possessing a weapon illegally, carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling a firearm in a motor vehicle. Police said the man was stopped at Diagonal Road and Frederick Boulevard for speeding and was found to be driving on a suspended license. A handgun was found in the vehicle.
A Mallison Avenue woman, 33, was charged with felonious assault. Police said the woman stabbed a person in the back of the leg.
A 13th Street woman, 42, was charged with unauthorized use of cable. Police said the woman had an illegal Time Warner Cable hookup and was not paying for the cable.
A Sharon Street man, 45, was charged with misuse of a credit card and theft. Police said the man took a man’s debit card and used it at three locations on East Market Street before returning it.
A Malacca Street woman, 29, was charged with burglary. Police said the woman entered a home through an unlocked door and took a wedding ring and pawned it at Cashland for $300.
A Fern Street man, 26, was charged with theft. Police said the man stole a pair of designer frame glasses from Clear Choice Eye Center. Total approximate value is $1,150.
A Garfield Street woman, 21, and a Reed Avenue woman, 21, were charged with receiving stolen property. Police said the women took jewelry from a reported burglary to Worldwide Gold on Merriman Road and sold it. The owner was contacted and identified the stolen jewelry. The value of the jewelry is $4,469.
A Princeton Street man, 36, was charged with domestic violence and domestic violence menacing. Police said the man and a woman got into an argument that turned physical when he threw her onto a bed. He then threatened her and their child.
A Baughman Street man, 21, was charged with aggravated robbery, domestic violence, tampering with evidence, carrying a concealed weapon, domestic violence menacing and obstructing official business.
A Clifford Avenue man, 29, was charged with domestic violence and domestic violence menacing.
A Stanton Avenue man, 39, was charged with domestic violence and domestic violence menacing.

An Ira Road man reported March 13 he received a call from a man who said the reporting party was entitled to $10.5 million. The man told the caller he was going to connect police to the call so an officer could listen. The caller cursed and hung up.
Misuse of a credit card
An Aegean Road woman reported March 9 someone used her credit card account to make more than $1,300 in unauthorized purchases.
Theft
Fifteen watches were stolen from a dresser drawer at a home in the 4100 block of Derrwood Drive between Jan. 31 and March 7.

A Creekledge Lane woman, 35, told police someone use her personal information to open a Sprint and Kohl’s account in Salem, Ore.
Arrests
A 54-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence March 5. An officer said he was driving erratically and smelled of alcohol. According to the officer, he was not cooperative during the booking process, spewing out profanity and resisting arrest.
A Schocalog Road man, 47, was arrested March 5 for failure to appear in court on charges of driving under suspension. He was arrested after his girlfriend, who he lives with, turned him in. She said he had been making unwanted withdrawals from her bank account to fuel a drug addiction.
Family dispute
A Robinwood Lane woman, 57, told police her son tried to break into her house after she locked him out. When he returned home she had the door blocked by a chair, but he managed to force his way in the house to retrieve his dogs. He had been living with her but was asked to move out.

A thief entered through a sliding glass door at a Mallard Point Drive home March 3 and stole a $1,300 laptop computer.
Theft
Cash, checks and other items, total value $52,707, were reported stolen March 3 from a Proehl Avenue residence.
Cuyahoga Falls
Arrests
A 29th Street man, 22, was charged March 8 with aggravated robbery. He is accused of using a knife to rob Little Cesaers Pizza, 1952 State Road.
Two Cuyahoga Falls boys, both 12, were charged with criminal trespassing March 9. A resident called police when the boys went inside a Hudson Drive vacant home.
An Akron woman, 32, was charged March 12 with deception to obtain a dangerous drug. She is accused of trying to use a fraudulent prescription to get a narcotic painkiller from Giant Eagle Pharmacy, 75 Graham Road. Police reported finding a narcotic on her when she was arrested.

A Prang Drive woman reported March 8 someone took two prefilled hypodermics, a Blu-ray player and a ring.
Theft by deception
An 84-year-old woman reported March 9 that since September she has sent a total of $100,000 to $150,000 to individuals who promised her millions of dollars in sweepstakes winnings.

An Earth Fare grocery store manager told police March 9 that an unknown person stole merchandise from the store. He said he noticed the suspect stage merchandise near the entrance. The suspect then picked up the items and left without paying. He was last seen headed east on West Market Street.
An Akron man, 19, was arrested on theft charges March 8. He allegedly tried to steal $342.93 worth of children’s clothing from Dillard’s in Summit Mall. He had been banned from the store on June 23 for a similar occurrence.
An Embassy Parkway man, 70, told police someone had written a fraudulent check using his information. The check was for $1,952.32, and had been cashed in Georgia. He found out when Chexar Networks in Georgia asked him about the business check he wrote.

A backup camera, DVD and stereo unit, total value $1,500, were stolen March 7 from a vehicle forced open at Park Honda on Interstate Parkway.

A Columbia Avenue woman reported March 9 that her mother took her Ohio food card. After she got it back and left the home with her two children, her mother called, pretended to be her daughter, and canceled the card.
Theft by deception
A Brooklawn Drive man, 64, reported March 8 he received a call from a man who claimed to be with Microsoft and offered a computer protection plan. The caller gave the man a number to call to check the caller’s legitimacy. The man purchased the plan with his debit card. He later called his bank and discovered $297 was taken from his account to be wired through Western Union. The transaction was stopped at Western Union.

Gross sexual imposition
Police were told by an Akron woman March 2 that she was inside the restroom at a bar on East Waterloo Road when a friend sexually assaulted her in a bathroom stall.
Burglary
Two TV sets, an Xbox system and a laptop computer, total value $2,600, were stolen March 5 from a ransacked Carper Avenue home.
A Lakemore woman on Ackers Avenue told police March 4 two TV sets and a Wii system, total value $1,200, were stolen from her home.
An East Waterloo Road man told authorities March 1 that an acquaintance broke into his trailer, beat him into unconsciousness and broke his cellphone and glasses.

A Charring Cross Drive man reported March 11 someone used his credit card information to make more than $300 in purchases.

Police received a report March 11 that a 12-year-old girl was raped.
Theft
A set of wedding bands, valued at more than $1,000, was taken from Stow Jewelers, 9970 Darrow Road, March 6.
Theft by deception
A Timbercreek Lane man told police a teen came to his door, selling candy. The suspect said the sales were to benefit Teen Challenge. The buyer called Teen Challenge and learned they do not send solicitors. The man stopped payment on the $5.99 check he gave the teen.

An East Avenue man, 30, was charged March 9 with domestic violence and endangering a child. He is accused of striking his 1-year-old son in the chest, leaving a handprint, after the child vomited on him.
Vandalism
An air conditioning unit behind a building in the 300 block of Portage Boulevard was damaged and rendered unusable March 13. The value of the loss is $2,800.

A Medina man, 31, was arrested during a traffic stop March 13 on a parole violation warrant.

An Akron woman, 53, of Hampshire Road, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and felonious assault March 1 after allegedly assaulting an officer.

A Canton man, 38, of Clark Avenue Southwest was jailed March 6 on a charge of passing bad checks.
A Perry Township man, 32, of Charm Street Southwest was jailed March 2 on charges of domestic violence and raping his estranged wife at her Jackson Township home.
Police jailed a Huckleberry Street Northwest woman, 22, after she admitted leaving her baby in her car at the Best Buy parking lot on Strip Avenue Northwest. Police said she admitted leaving the child alone because she forgot the child was in the vehicle.
Robbery
A thief slammed a security guard to the ground and fled without his coat and a shoe after the victim said the man concealed two shirts, total value $150, and left Macy’s in the Westfield Belden Village Mall. Police are checking the shoe for DNA evidence.
Burglary
A black and white cat with a bell around its neck was reported stolen from a Wales Avenue Northwest residence March 1.
Two vehicles in a driveway and a garage at an Ashemede Court Circle Northwest home were entered and 12 lacrosse sticks and heads, total value $2,500, were reported stolen Feb. 28.
Aggravated menacing
A Jackson Schools bus driver said he was stopped in front of a Shellbourne Avenue Northwest home March 1 when a suspect yelled at him to back up and then showed a pocket knife. The driver said he feared for the pupils on the bus.
Thefts
A Perry Drive Northwest woman said she sent $1,700 via Western Union to Mexico for her grandson March 5 because of a phone call saying he was in a car accident. She later learned the relative wasn’t in Mexico.
Magnified dental glasses and a ground positioning system, total value $2,900, were reported stolen March 4 from a car parked at a 19th Street Northwest location.
A Plain Township woman said she was at Park Centre Lanes on Whipple Avenue Northwest when an e-reader, cash and other items, total value $1,085, were stolen from her minivan.

A Schneider Street Northwest youth, 17, was summoned to Stark County Family Court on March 1 on a felony theft charge after being arrested at GlenOak High School. Police said he was walking to school when he saw a pickup truck unoccupied and running in a New England Street Southeast driveway. He is accused of driving away in the truck and crashing it at another residence and fleeing.

A New Philadelphia woman told police items valued at $1,405 were stolen from her car Feb. 22 while parked at a North Main Street location.

A Canton woman, 39, of Daleford Avenue Northeast, was jailed on a passing bad checks warrant when arrested in the 3700 block of Highspire Street Northeast on March 4.
An Ashwood Street Northwest man, 32, was jailed for domestic violence March 2 for allegedly grabbing a woman by her face and throwing her into a bathtub.
