A Yukon Avenue man, 20, was charged with felonious assault after he allegedly quarreled with a woman, put her in a bear hug and lifted her off the ground. When she demanded to be put down, he dropped her on the sidewalk, breaking her jaw and making her lose consciousness. The woman was treated at a local hospital.
A Stadelman Avenue man, 21, was charged with tampering with evidence, discharging a firearm, using a weapon while intoxicated, disorderly conduct while intoxicated, obstructing official business and aggravated menacing. Police said he quarreled with residents in the 400 block of Kling Street and fired a gun into the street.
A Thayer Street man, 43, was charged with felonious assault and criminal damaging after he allegedly stabbed someone in the arm at a Long Street home and threw a brick, hitting the same person in the mouth.
A Bethany Avenue man, 46, was charged with domestic violence and a Bethany Avenue woman, 46, was charged with obstructing justice. Police went to the Bethany home looking for the man. The woman said she hadn’t seen him in days. When the woman gave officers permission to search the house, they found the man in a crawl space under the basement stairs.
An East Cuyahoga Falls Avenue man, 29, was charged with disrupting public service and domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted two women and smashed a cell phone to keep them from calling police. The man also took their car and smashed it into a garage and house.
An Eber Avenue man, 20, was charged with robbery after he allegedly used a BB gun in an attempt to rob an Upson Street resident. The resident slammed the door and called 911. The man told police it was just a prank.
A North Howard Street woman, 31, was charged with burglary and assault following a fight at a Bacon Avenue residence. A resident said the woman bit his chest and arm and damaged the inside of the home.
A Sherman Street man, 21, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of an open container and possession of marijuana.
An Ada Street man, 18, was charged with tampering with evidence and obstructing official business after police responded to a call of shots fired on Fernwood Drive. The man allegedly shot himself in the leg and claimed that another man did it. A gun was found in a trash can.
A Roslyn Avenue man, 32, was charged with burglary after he allegedly was observed taking property out of an Argonne Court home.
A Canadian Avenue man, 22, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property following a traffic stop at South Hawkins and Bellevue avenues. Police said the man was driving on a suspended license and had a stolen gun.
An East North Street man, 44, was charged with breaking and entering after he allegedly took copper pipes from a construction site on North Forge Street.
A Pikes Avenue man, 32, was charged with unauthorized use of property and possession of a sale of unauthorized cable television device. Police said he had been using Time Warner for 23 months without paying.
A Sylvan Street man, 25, was charged with aggravated burglary after a witness identified him in a photo array as the suspect who carried a gun into a Virginia Avenue home.
A Valdes Avenue man, 24, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after police found a loaded handgun during a traffic stop.
A Wesley Place man, 40, was charged with aggravated burglary and domestic violence after he allegedly kicked in the front door of a home, assaulted a woman and fled.

An Austin Court resident, 23, was charged with two counts of domestic violence Sept. 6. He allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend and sister if they didn’t leave, pulled out a chunk of his girlfriend’s hair, stomped on her head, threw his sister against a wall and banged her head against it.
An Illinois Place man, 38, was charged with domestic violence Sept. 4 after he allegedly assaulted his wife and threw her onto a couch.

A crossbow and compound bow, total value $1,670, were stolen Sept. 2 from a garage at a Ries Street home.

Tools and copper fittings, total value $500, were stolen from a Harrington Avenue home Sept. 3.
Someone took $1,000 in jewelry Sept. 3 from an Auburn Avenue home.

Eight money orders and other items, total value $1,211, were reported stolen Sept. 3 from a Franklin Avenue home.

A Bath Road man told police Sept. 10 that someone stole his identity to open a bank account.
Two women told police Sept. 12 that someone stole wallets from their purses at work in the 4100 block of Medina Road and used bank cards for unauthorized purchases.

A Barberton woman, 54, told police she was pulled over by someone claiming to be a police officer Sept. 10. He asked her about another resident who he believes is a drug dealer. Afterward, she called the resident in question, who then told her to call police.
A Medina man, 30, was charged with driving under the influence and possession of drugs Sept. 11 after police pulled over his car on Collier Road. Officers said he was driving erratically. Police reported finding marijuana.
The assistant principal at Copley-Fairlawn Middle School told police Sept. 11 that she found a bottle of unknown pills in the school. She said she disposed of the pills.
A Stow man, 50, could face arrest if he sets foot on Copley High School property again, police said. He has been causing trouble at athletic events.

A Third Street man, 23, was charged with assault and criminal damaging Sept. 6 after he allegedly punched a man, 27, in the shoulder and damaged his vehicle.
A Center Avenue man, 42, was charged with disorderly conduct Sept. 8 after he allegedly followed juveniles near Falls River Center and asked them to smoke marijuana with him. Police said he was intoxicated.
A Washington Avenue man, 42, was charged with disorderly conduct Sept. 8. Officers said he was intoxicated when he fell in the driveway at the police department. Paramedics treated him for facial injuries.
A Beacon Hill Extension man, 33, was charged Sept. 12 with domestic violence after he allegedly hit his girlfriend.

A woman, 36, told police Sept. 8 that a man struck her arms, causing bruising and swelling, inside a State Road bar.

A Hollywood Avenue man reported Sept. 6 that a relative took his wife’s narcotic pain medication.

A Lloyd Street woman told police Sept. 9 that a woman threatened to harm her if she kept feeding neighborhood cats.
Misuse of credit cards
A Second Street woman told police Sept. 7 that someone stole her credit cards and charged about $10,000.
A credit card stolen from a Treasch Drive home was used for an unauthorized transaction of more than $600.
Thefts
A thief stole a notebook computer Sept. 7 from Aaron’s, 629 Howe Ave. He threw the computer and kept running when a store worker chased him.
An 18th Street woman told police Sept. 11 that someone used her bank card to make $3,000 in unauthorized transactions.
Tools valued at nearly $6,000 were stolen from the back of a truck Sept. 11 in the 400 block of Howe Avenue.
Painting equipment valued at $6,000 was stolen Sept. 7 from behind Giant Eagle, 75 Graham Road.

The manager of Walgreens on West Market Street called police Sept. 9 to report a bomb threat. A customer said a bomb would explode in one minute unless the pharmacist gave all the Oxycodone in the store to a car at the drive-through. It was a false alarm.
An Akron man, 21, was charged with theft Sept. 12 after he allegedly stole $306 worth of jeans from Buckle at Summit Mall. Police found him hiding in a trash bin.
An employee at Spirit Halloween in Summit Mall told police that a customer used a fraudulent $100 travelers check to buy merchandise.
Two shoppers used two counterfeit $100 bills Sept. 9 to buy $132 in goods from the Gap at Summit Mall.
Two Barberton women, 18 and 17, were charged with theft Sept. 6 after they allegedly tried to steal $493 in goods from Macy’s at Summit Mall.
An Alliance man, 41, was charged with theft Sept. 7 after he allegedly tried to steal a $468 television.

A Devonshire Drive Northwest woman, 35, and a Canton man, 30, of 17th Street Northwest, were arrested Aug. 31 on warrants alleging theft from an elderly or disabled adult. She was charged with theft while he was charged with complicity.
A Traverse City, Mich., man, 33, was charged with felonious assault, resisting arrest, menacing and disorderly conduct Aug. 31. Police said he was standing in the middle of Everhard Road Northwest and threatened to kill an officer and attempted to kick him while being arrested.
