Folk trio Rachel and the Peacemakers will play at 7:30 tonight during the Saturday evening coffee house in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center at Malone University, 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton.
The group includes Rachel Nunez, former associate professor of music; Malcolm Gold, professor of sociology, and Steven Jensen, professor of English. The trio will also lead worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the Stewart Room.
The worship service and coffee house, both open to the public, are among the activities planned during the Friends Association of Higher Education conference, which began Thursday. The national conference is designed to strengthen the Quaker mission in higher education. It is open to faculty at Quaker institutions, Quaker faculty at non-Quaker institutions or anyone interested in the Quaker heritage.
