Arrests
A Tarson Terrace woman, 21, was charged with felonious assault, domestic violence and tampering with evidence after she allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab a man in the back and torso. When police confronted her about the stabbing, she allegedly grabbed the knife and tried to hide it.
A Nicholas Avenue woman, 35, was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence after she allegedly got in a fight with another woman and hit her in the face with a 3-pound dumbbell, causing severe swelling and a cut under her left eye.
An 18th Street man, 45, was charged with arson, menacing by stalking, criminal trespassing and criminal damaging. A woman told police that she heard a noise outside her home and saw the man’s truck driving away. She realized that her car was on fire. The man has been threatening and harassing the woman and had been warned to have no contact with her.
An Anderson Avenue man, 26, was charged with aggravated robbery after he allegedly used a gun to rob Tiny’s Bar on Triplett Boulevard. He is awaiting sentencing on a robbery at Christy’s Bar on Seiberling Street.
A Corice Avenue man, 26, was charged with domestic violence and menacing after he allegedly pushed a woman down, choked her and threatened to kill her.
A Laffer Avenue man, 32, was charged with felonious assault after he allegedly used his vehicle to ram another car. A man in the damaged car was taken to Akron General Medical Center with injuries to his ribs and hip.
An East Waterloo Road man, 47, was charged with disrupting public service and domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted a woman in a moving car, took her cell phone and threw it out the window so she could not call police.
An Akron man, 28, was charged with domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted a woman who is six months pregnant.
A Zahn Drive man, 61, was charged with forgery and theft after he allegedly stole blank checks, deposited them into his account, forged them and cashed them for $9,000.
A Uniontown woman, 45, of Mayfield Road, was charged with receiving stolen property after she allegedly was found driving a stolen car at Cuyahoga Street and Sommers Court.
An Adkins Avenue man, 19, was charged with burglary after he allegedly entered a Kling Street home and took a TV that later was recovered at a Clay Drive residence.
A Mohawk Drive man, 37, was charged with burglary after he allegedly broke into a home and stole items.

An Akron boy, 16, of Van Everett Avenue, and a Barberton boy, 16, of Stanley Street, were charged with burglary Oct. 24 after they allegedly stole two flat-screen TVs from a Tennessee Place home.
A homeless man, 39, was charged with felony domestic violence Oct. 24 after he allegedly hit his estranged wife in the face and arm with a belt at her Illinois Place home.
An Akron man, 53, of Allyn Street, was charged with felony domestic violence Oct. 22 after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and left her Second Street Southwest home before police arrived Oct. 19.

Misuse of a credit card
A Medina Line Road man told police Oct. 25 that someone used his credit-card number to make more than $1,100 in illegal online transactions.
An Akron woman reported Oct. 29 that someone used her credit card to buy gasoline at a Ghent Road convenience store Oct. 25. She thinks she dropped the card after filling her tank and someone picked it up and used it.
Phone harassment
The owner of a gaming company reported Oct. 30 that he received an email from a man who threatened to kill him for suspending his account on a Facebook game.
Copley Township
Arrests
Three Akron residents ages 27, 25, and 22, were arrested Oct. 10 at the Comfort Inn on Montrose Avenue and charged with possession of drugs, trafficking drugs and possessing weapons under disability. Police reported finding a 9 mm automatic handgun, 25-caliber semiautomatic handgun, a 5.56 semiautomatic rifle and a .357 magnum revolver at the scene.
Complaint filed
A Cotswold Drive woman, 47, told police a registered sex offender tried to befriend her daughter Oct. 23 on Facebook. Copley police contacted a Summit County detective, who documented the incident.

An Akron man, 21, of Pauline Avenue, was charged with aggravated menacing and assault Oct. 21 after he allegedly choked a Woodview Drive man, threw him over the back of a couch and threatened to get a gun and shoot everyone in the house.

Arrests
A Canal Fulton woman, 41, was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damaging Oct. 30. She allegedly kicked in her ex-boyfriend’s door, grabbed his genitalia and would not let go when he confronted her. She is also accused of scratching another woman inside the home.
A Tallmadge man, 26, was charged with burglary Oct. 26 after he allegedly broke into a home in the 2200 block of Seventh Street.
A Munroe Falls Avenue woman, 32, was charged with drug abuse, obstructing official business and drug possession Oct. 28 after she allegedly gave officers false names to avoid arrest on a warrant. While arresting her, police reported finding cocaine, heroin and Percocet.

A Second Street woman told police Oct. 20 that someone punched her in the knee while she was attending a board meeting in her building.
Arson
Someone set fire to a garage Oct. 26 in the 600 block of Madison Avenue.
Breaking and entering
Someone tried to break into a Front Street club Oct. 31 but was scared away by a maintenance worker.
Burglary
Someone tried to break into a home Oct. 26 in the 3100 block of Seventh Street.
Criminal damaging
Someone set fire to three piles of leaves between 17th and 19th streets Oct. 26.
Forgery
The owner of a Riverfront Parkway restaurant told police Oct. 30 that someone forged his signature on more than a dozen company checks between Aug. 1 and Oct. 30 for a loss of more than $10,000.
Theft
A supervisor of a State Road gas station told police Oct. 28 that an employee stole more than $4,300 from the business.
A woman told police Oct. 28 that someone stole jewelry, checks and other items from her Americana Drive home and used her personal information to apply online for a loan.
Fairlawn
Arrest
An Akron man, 22, was charged with theft Oct. 31 after he allegedly tried to steal three pairs of jeans from Dillard’s in Summit Mall. Store security saw him enter a fitting room with $135 in clothes and leave. They became suspicious after inspecting the fitting room and finding it empty.
Thefts
A Lenox Village Drive man, 30, told police Oct. 23 that someone withdrew $4,100 from his Chase checking account without permission. Withdrawals took place in Arizona and California.
An Akron woman, 73, told police Oct. 30 that someone illegally withdrew $7,324 from her PNC savings account since Aug. 8. The Fairlawn branch of PNC froze her account and told her to file a police report.

Someone broke the front window Oct. 28 of Nolas Salon on Ghent Road, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Six guns, a guitar and a banjo, total value $1,200, were stolen from a Cottage Grove Road home Oct. 19.

An Akron woman was charged with child endangering Oct. 27 after she allegedly left three kids, ages 3, 5 and 3 months, in an unlocked van with the motor running while picking up deliveries.

A snowmobile engine and other items, total value $2,080, were reported stolen Oct. 20 from an attached garage at a Limbach Road home.

Someone broke into a storage unit Oct. 30 in the 3000 block of Whipple Drive and stole a video game system, television and other items.
Springfield Township
Arrest
A Mayfair Road man, 40, was arrested Oct. 25 on a felony theft warrant after he allegedly took items from an Albrecht Avenue home taken Sept. 26.
Domestic violence
A girl, 15, was wanted on domestic violence warrants after she allegedly punched a Hilbish Avenue man, grabbed a knife and threatened to kill him. She fled with two telephones.
Robbery
A man fled with $6,393 from a purse and cash drawer during a robbery at the Stay-N-Play business on Canton Road.
Breaking and entering
Someone broke into Koss Autoworks on South Arlington Road and stole tools, a computer, a safe and other items, total value $10,799, on Oct. 19.
Thefts
An Ambre Drive man told police Oct. 25 that a $6,800 diamond ring and his credit card were stolen. The card was used to charge $10,815.
A $500 homemade trailer was reported stolen Oct. 21 from a West Park Way property.

A Stow man, 25, was charged with burglary and forgery Oct. 27 after he allegedly broke into a Village Court home.
A Pennsylvania man, 24, was charged with possession of bath salts and marijuana Oct. 28. Police found the drugs while responding to a fight in the 4500 block of Hudson Drive.
Assault
A resident of a L’Ermitage Place nursing home assaulted another resident Oct. 30.
Criminal mischief
Someone spray-painted equipment Oct. 24-26 at the S.O.A.R. playground at Silver Springs Park.
Criminal simulation
A Lakepointe Corporation Drive restaurant manager told police Oct. 31 that someone used three counterfeit $20 bills to buy food.
Theft
Police were investigating the theft of more than $57,000 from a Beech Street woman, 83.
A woman left a small child in her vehicle while she shoplifted $14 in merchandise from a Kent Road store. She was not apprehended.

Warrants were signed for two people Oct. 27 on charges of illegal purchase of pseudoephedrine. Both are accused of purchasing more than 9 grams within 30 days.

Two people broke into a Metric Drive jewelry store Oct. 27 and stole $1,500 in jewelry and $70 in cash.

Someone stole a forklift from a parking lot Oct. 31 in the 1100 block of High Street.

Arrests
An Akron woman, 21, of Beulah Avenue, was charged with receiving stolen property Oct. 23 after a Stark State College student told school security that his three college textbooks were stolen. Security found two were sold for $32. The third was found in the suspect’s possession when arrested.
An Independence Circle Northwest man, 30, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 21 after he allegedly threw his girlfriend to the ground and choked her at the Basement Bar and Grill on Whipple Avenue Northwest.
A Lancaster man, 24, was charged with felony forgery and misuse of a credit card after $575 in transactions were made at local retail businesses.
Robbery
A gunman escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash Oct. 22 after robbing the Marathon gas station on Portage Street Northwest.
Forgery
Three checks were forged using the routing and account number of the Custom Fireplace Shop on Whipple Avenue Northwest. The checks totaled $1,288 and were forged in September in three cities in North Carolina, police learned Oct. 22.
Thefts
Nine chain saws, total value $4,881, were reported stolen Oct. 22 from a dump truck on Ontario Street Northwest. The vehicle belonged to G&D Tree Service of Vantage Hill Street Northwest, Massillon.
Copper valued at $5,000 was reported stolen Oct. 17 from Heiser Sand and Gravel on Applegrove Street Northwest.

A Fairview Street Southeast woman, 20, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 22.
Robbery
A man entered the Spee-D-Foods store Oct. 15 on South Main Street, robbed a clerk of $114 and fled.
Theft
An employee of J and J Car and Truck Sales on South Main Street told police Oct. 17 that someone entered a parked vehicle for sale and stole the instrument cluster and cut the wiring. Damage was estimated at $600.

A Lattavo Street Northeast woman, 60, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 24 after she allegedly slapped her boyfriend.
A Cathy Drive Northeast man was charged with domestic violence Oct. 20 after he allegedly pushed his girlfriend, causing her to fall backward onto the pavement.
A 25th Street Northwest man was charged with domestic violence Oct. 24 after he allegedly grabbed and shoved a female at his home Oct. 20.
Uniontown

An Akron man, 20, of Yerrick Circle, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 19 after he allegedly pushed his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home on Lake Center Street Northwest. She told police that he grabbed her arm, threw food and damaged a cell phone.
Theft
Checks totaling $604 were reported stolen Oct. 23 from an unlocked vehicle on Sweitzer Avenue.
