Raise the Roof Gala — 5-8 p.m. at O’Neil House, 1290 W. Exchange St., Akron. Proceeds benefit Rebuilding Together Greater Cuyahoga Valley. $50. 330-773-4100.

Taste of Vintage — 6 p.m. at Quaker Station, 135 S. Broadway, Akron. Goodwill fundraiser includes food from area restaurants, live and silent auction, and a show from the agency’s vintage clothing collection modeled by influential women of the community. $50, $100, and $250. www.goodwillakron.org.

Derby Downs on the North Coast — 7 p.m. at St. Noel Banquet Center, 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills. Dinner, races, sideboards, silent auction, and reverse raffle to benefit North Coast Community Homes, which provides homes for individuals with intellectual, mental and physical disabilities. $75.
