Jackson School Superintendent Christoper DiLoreto said Friday the district is working with law enforcement on the “shocking appalling turn of events” in which 24 student-athletes were videotaped, allegedly, by a high school coach.

“Together, we can provide an attitude of unity and support for the families who were affected and those who are sickened and fearful about it,” DiLoreto wrote on the district’s Facebook page.

Jackson Township Police Chief Dave Zink said all 24 students identified on the tapes are athletes and there was no evidence of videotaping in the visitor locker room.

“Everything we have to this point we’ve been able to identify,” he said.

Jackson High Principal Monica Myers assured students Friday that the district would provide “ongoing, unlimited counseling” and “zero tolerance for any kind of insensitivity toward victims or suspected victims.”

“Everyone is pulling together as we try to make sense out of this terrible invasion of privacy,” she said on the district’s Facebook page.

Zink, the police chief, declined to specify the period of time when the boys were videotaped because victims and families were still being notified.

Police have charged Scott Studer, 46, on six felony counts of taking nude videos of boys. He has been held on $2 million bond. His attorney said Studer maintains his innocence.

Zink said earlier there was no evidence that Studer had shared any videos.

The freshman basketball coach was arrested Wednesday after investigators searched his home and found nude images on a DVD, a laptop computer and a flash drive. Studer quit his jobs Wednesday as coach and school building aide.

The materials were found during a search led by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. The agency didn’t return messages on what prompted the search.
