A Storer Avenue man, 28, was charged with willful fleeing, tampering with evidence, having weapons under disability, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, drug abuse and possession of an open container. Police said he led officers on a car chase and threw a gun from the vehicle. He then bailed from the car and let it roll down the street. After a foot chase, police arrested him and reported finding marijuana.
An East Market Street man, 24, was charged with failing to comply, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing drugs. Police said he led officers on a car chase. He was apprehended after a struggle and was carrying a screwdriver. During a car search, police reported finding marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A Mack Street man, 52, was charged with assault on a police officer, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and menacing. Police were called to a Mack home to break up a fight. Authorities said the man yelled at police, threatened them and punched an officer in the face.
A Cree Avenue man, 38, was charged with willful fleeing after he allegedly led police on a car chase. He was apprehended in the 1000 block of Cree Avenue after a foot chase.
A Romig Road man, 26, was charged with domestic violence and felonious assault after he allegedly assaulted two people.
An Akron man, 60, was charged with receiving stolen property after he allegedly told police he had a handgun that was stolen from Ivor Avenue.
A Massillon Road man, 41, was charged with vandalism and theft after he allegedly disconnected an air-conditioning unit with an ax, loaded it into a vehicle and dismantled it in the 400 block of Massillon Road in an attempt to sell it for scrap.
A Sandusky Avenue man, 26, was charged with grand theft auto, passing bad checks and uttering after he allegedly bought a car with a counterfeit check and took possession of it.
A Victoria Avenue man, was charged with burglary after he allegedly broke into a Crouse Street home. Police discovered he was wanted on three burglary warrants.
An Aberdeen Street man, 28, was charged with domestic violence and menacing.
A Seward Avenue man, 46, was charged with domestic violence and domestic violence menacing.
A Florida Avenue man, 38, was charged with domestic violence.
A Downing Place man, 18, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon during a traffic stop.

A Third Street Northwest girl, 16, was charged with domestic violence Feb. 15 after she allegedly kneed her pregnant mother and clawed her neck.
An East Robinson Avenue boy was charged with domestic violence after he allegedly kicked his grandmother several times during a quarrel.
An East Ford Avenue man, 19, was charged with domestic violence in an assault of his brother Feb. 21.
A Wunderlich Avenue man, 41, was arrested Feb. 19 on warrants that police said were for domestic violence and assault.
Thefts
A purse and its contents, including $530, were stolen from a car at an Eighth Street Northwest home Feb. 19.
A 21st Street Northwest woman told police Feb. 16 that someone used her credit-card account information to withdraw $2,000 from FirstMerit Bank in downtown Akron.

Suspicious activity
A Lakeland Avenue woman, 29, reported a case of suspicious activity Feb. 17. She said she arrived home and found footprints leading from tire tracks in her driveway to a bedroom window. The home is for sale, so she thought it might be someone checking out the house. Responding officers photographed the footprints.

Arrests
An Akron man, 20, was charged with possessing prohibited weapons, marijuana and drug paraphernalia Feb. 25. He is accused of having seven knives, marijuana and a glass pipe.
Four homeowners on Myrtle Avenue, Arcadia Avenue, Sixth Street and 15th Street were charged with violating the housing code Feb. 25.
Burglary
Someone broke into a home Feb. 23 in the 2200 block of 21st Street, but nothing appeared to be missing.
Theft
Four cellphones were stolen Feb. 22 from AT&T at 794 Howe Ave.

Stolen computer
A Norton woman, 37, told police she recovered a stolen laptop at the Greater Columbus Convention Center where her daughter was competing in a cheer competition. Upon returning home, she found a laptop in her daughter’s gym bag. She was not sure who the owner was. It was placed into evidence.
Arrest
An Akron man, 20, was charged with theft Feb. 22 after he allegedly concealed $19.30 worth of merchandise in his jacket pockets and tried to leave Walmart without paying.
Thefts
A Smith Road woman, 39, told police Feb. 15 that unknown withdrawals were being made from her checking account. She learned from the bank that $29.97 had been taken out of her account monthly since June 2012. After contacting the bank, she learned the monthly withdrawal was a membership for a pornographic website.
An Ohio Edison employee, 28, told police Feb. 21 that someone stole 162 feet of copper wire from a work site. A fence had been cut to gain access.

A Greensburg Road man was charged with felony domestic violence Feb. 21 after he allegedly struck his live-in girlfriend in the face.
A Georgia woman was charged with domestic violence Feb. 17 after she allegedly punched and bit her boyfriend during an incident on Fortuna Drive.
Airliner incident
A Southwest Airlines pilot told deputies Feb. 18 that his plane was en route to Akron-Canton Airport from Boston when a laser was pointed at the plane’s cockpit as the aircraft passed over Youngstown. The report was turned over to the FBI.

A Chiltern Road Northwest girl, 17, was charged with domestic violence Feb. 17 after she allegedly threatened to stab her mother because she wasn’t allowed to invite friends to the house.
A Barberton man, 29, of Eighth Street Northwest, was charged with theft Feb. 19 after he allegedly took his girlfriend’s debit card and withdrew $900 from an account. He told police he used the card to buy cigarettes.
A Manchester Road man, 54, was charged with domestic violence Feb. 15 after he allegedly fought in his home with a man from Beaver, Pa.

A man who rented a $2,000 sewer snake electric eel from Norton Tool Rental failed to return it, according to a Feb. 28 report.

Arrests
An Akron man, 46, of Hazel Street, was charged with felony theft and resisting arrest Feb. 20 at Walmart on South Arlington Road. Police said he took computer equipment, a sweeper and other items, total value $1,393. He was arrested after a short chase.
A Bennington Court man, 18, was arrested Feb. 16 on warrants charging felony domestic violence and offenses involving underage persons. He was accused of damaging his mother’s bedroom and hitting her with a belt.
A Bridger Road woman, 59, was charged with domestic violence Feb. 18 after she allegedly scratched her daughter’s face and neck.
Warrant issued
An Akron woman, 33, of Louisiana Avenue, was being sought on a Feb. 21 warrant charging her with stealing $1,098 in merchandise Jan. 10 from the Walmart on South Arlington Road.
Sexual misconduct
A township woman told police Feb. 16 that she came home and found an adult man having sex with her daughter, 14. The mother said the man threatened to kill her and then fled.
Burglary
Someone entered an Ambre Drive home and took cash, a safe and other items, total value $1,830, while a resident took her dogs for a walk Feb. 13.
Theft
An Ohio Edison spokesman told police Feb. 13 that someone entered a truck parked inside a substation on Canfield Road and stole copper wire and other items, total value $1,475.

Arrests
Two Akron men, ages 25 and 28, were arrested Feb. 23 when police investigated a possible drug transaction at state Route 8 and Steels Corners Road. The younger man is charged with obstructing official business, driving under suspension and having an open container of alcohol. Police said the man threw evidence out a car window. Officers found an open bottle of vodka in the car. The older man was charged with driving under suspension and failing to use a turn signal.
A Ravenna man, 20, was charged with obstructing official business, theft, possession of marijuana and identity theft Feb. 23.
An Echo Valley Drive man, 32, was charged with domestic violence Feb. 28.
Assault
A woman told police Feb. 23 she saw a man being assaulted in the parking lot of Stowaway Pub, 3041 Graham Road.
A Hudson Drive man, 60, reported Feb. 24 he was punched in the face.
Burglary
Jewelry and electronics were stolen Feb. 23 from a home in the 3800 block of Vira Road. The intruder entered through an unlocked window.
Disorderly conduct
A security officer for Akron General Medical Center, 4300 Allen Road, reported that a man entered the building lobby Feb. 24, accessed a computer and looked at pornography until he was asked to leave.

A woman reported the sexual assault of a child Feb. 26.

A North Elm Avenue woman told police that her son applied for a job through Craigslist. A potential employer sent her son a check for $2,957 for payment. Her son was told to keep $550 for his pay and wire back the rest. He turned the check in to police.
An Eastpoint Drive man sold an iPhone on eBay, according to a Jan. 27 report. The buyer returned it and received a refund from PayPal. Instead of an iPhone, though, the seller found a computer mouse in the returned box.

A Ravenna man, 23, was charged Feb. 26 with possessing heroin and a drug abuse instrument.
Thefts
A washer and dryer, total value $1,000, were stolen from the 200 block of South Willow Street.
The owner of a Front Street doughnut shop told police Feb. 25 that a bank bag with $3,100 was missing.
Vandalism
Someone started a fire Feb. 23 in the bathroom of a room at Ranch Motel, 3608 State Road, causing $2,000 in damage.

A Canton man, 21, of Casper Avenue Northwest, was charged with domestic violence Jan. 24 after he allegedly slammed a door on a female, hitting her twice in the head, in the 6300 block of Strip Avenue Northwest.
A Canton woman, 30, of Faircrest Street Southwest, was arrested Feb. 17 on a warrant alleging felony misuse of cards.
A New Philadelphia woman, 19, was charged with felony theft Feb. 15 after she allegedly took $1,581 in merchandise from the Walmart on Mega Street Northwest.
Thefts
A $600 iPhone belonging to a North Canton woman was stolen Feb. 18 from the Trade Secrets business in Westfield Belden Village Mall.
Another $600 iPhone was reported stolen Feb. 13 from a desk at Phoenix Rising Behavioral Health facility on Higbee Street Northwest.

A watch and gold ring, total value $2,500, were reported stolen from a South Main Street home Feb. 11.
A catalytic converter valued at $1,271, was reported stolen Feb. 7 from a car parked on Everhard Road.

A 45th Street Northwest man, 63, was arrested Feb. 21 on a warrant charging him with felony illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.

A woman told police Feb. 20 that she evicted a tenant from an Apache Street Northwest rental home Feb. 1. When she returned to check the property, $1,150 in furnishings and a trampoline were missing.

A Wooster man, 30, was charged with receiving stolen property Feb. 22 after deputies reported finding a laptop computer and a camcorder, total value $1,400, at a home in the 1800 block of East Lincoln Way in Wooster Township. The items are owned by a Massillon woman.
Assault
An inmate at the Wayne County Jail struck a deputy in the neck, causing three cuts, on Feb. 24.
Burglaries
Two laptop computers, total value $1,180, and $480 were stolen Feb. 22 from a home in the 2200 block of McCoy Road in Wooster Township.
Three televisions were reported stolen Feb. 21 from two trailers at a campground in the 10700 block of Molter Road in Clinton Township.
Four residents on Tolbert and McCoy roads in Franklin Township told deputies Feb. 20 that someone tried to break into their homes.

An East Union Township man, 23, reported Feb. 21 that someone stabbed him during a fight at his home in the 100 block of Wadsworth Road.

A handgun valued at $214 was reported stolen Feb. 25 from a vacant residence in the 400 block of South Walnut Street.
