SUMMIT COUNTY

New box office

AKRON: The Akron Civic Theatre will open a new box office location on Monday in the Ohio Building at 175 S. Main St.

Patrons wishing to buy tickets may purchase them at the new location between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday.

The old box office window located in the theater will only be opened on the day of shows, two hours prior to the performance of the show and 30 minutes prior to cabaret performances.

Festa Italiana

CUYAHOGA FALLS: Festa Italiana 2013 will be held Friday through Sunday in Cuyahoga Falls.

The festival hours are 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The festival will feature food, music, a Bocce tournament, Morra tournament, children’s games and grape stomping.

Participants must register for the Bocce tournament by calling Guido Cornacchione at 330-607-1949.

Mantua ox roast

MANTUA: St. Joseph’s Ox Roast Fair will be held on Friday through Sunday at St. Joseph’s Parish, 11045 St. Joseph Boulevard in Mantua.

The fair incudes a variety of foods and an air-conditioned dining hall, live entertainment, Friday night fireworks, Saturday morning 5K run and walk and 1 mile fun walk, an assortment of rides, games contests and giveaways.

The fair hours are 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday, 1 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 10 p.m Sunday.

NORTHEAST OHIO

University closing

CLEVELAND: Chancellor University, a business-oriented school formerly known as Dyke College and later as David N. Myers University, is closing.

Chancellor has arranged with the private, nonprofit California-based Alliant International University to transfer students to comparable online programs.

Chancellor traces its roots to the 19th century. According to the university, its earliest graduates included John D. Rockefeller and Harvey Firestone.
