‘Comedy in Concert’ at Unity Chapel of Light

Humorist and songwriter Greg Tamblyn will present “Comedy in Concert” at 7 p.m. Thursday at Unity Chapel of Light, 503 Northwest Ave., Tallmadge.

Tamblyn has been described as “a contemporary Mark Twain” who uses musical wit to characterize workplace blues to global anxiety to personal challenges. His concerts typically take audiences into the areas of the profound and the absurd, the personal and the universal, the psychological and the spiritual and the sacred and the silly.

It is the story of filmmaker and conservationist Jeff Barrie’s journey across the U.S. to document our energy-related problems and present practical, cost-saving solutions for consumers. Support groups

The Chapel — 135 Fir Hill, Akron. 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 13. A class will be offered to help parents deal with holiday times when they have a prodigal adult child or their adult child has cut them out of their lives. Parents of Prodigals is a confidential support group in the Greater Akron area. It will be in the Great Commission Room on the main floor of The Chapel. Registration not needed.
